Whakatauki

Here is a whakatauki that I found on the internet today. It says to me that if I look after myself and  follow the guidelines in avoiding Covid-19 then I am in fact looking after you as well.
Is there a whakatauki that you think relates well to this time in our lives? Please post it in your comment.

  1. That's a great Whakatauki to have Emily. It shows your wonderfully generous and thoughtful personality.

A quote that describes my feelings during this time is “Be thankful for what you have. Your life, no matter how bad you think it is, is someone else’s fairy tale.”- Wale Ayeni.

I realise how lucky I am to be on lockdown in a lovely home, with plenty of food, people I love and if my biggest worry is missing an overseas holiday...then I am supremely grateful! It makes me find ways to reach out to help others who are less fortunate.

    Take care, Kim.

    1. Kia ora Kim,
Thank you for your comment and your kind words.
I really like your quote as it says to me that we need to be forever grateful for whatever we have.
I definitely agree with you on that - I have Sene and Nala with me. I am keeping in contact with my family in Scotland too to make sure they are ok.
Do you think it feels weird with not being able to go to the Mall, waiting in lines for the supermarket and not being able to go round to friends? I certainly am.
      Have a great day,
      Em
