I must say I do prefer Nike over Adidas, Puma and so on, however Sene likes Adidas.

Have you got a collection?
After cleaning out my wardrobe, I seem to have accumulated quite a few pairs of Nike trainers. They are now all washed and ready for walks. I could even use one pair of trainers for each day of the week - what do you think?

Kia ora Miss McCombie, That's a lot of shoes! I like your grey sneakers best. My favourite brand is Nike too. I have a collection of rocks, marbles and crystals. They all live in a tall jar in my room. I collected the rocks to remind me of places we have been around New Zealand. The crystals are sometimes at markets and I just think they are pretty. I have had the marbles for a long time! Do you collect anything else?

Oh wow, what an interesting collection - what made you start collecting them or was it just an accident?
I wouldn't say I collect anything to be honest. When I was younger I used to collect 2 pound coins which equals roughly $4. I also used to make candles and give them as presents.

I don't collect anything now but I used to collect coins (2 pound coins) in Scotland.
Ooh interesting - what do you do with the bouncy balls? Have you been taking them outside and playing a game with them or are they for show only?

Hmmm, at least your trainers are clean! I like Nike trainers as well, as they seem to suit my feet, although I also have some New Balance ones. I have three major collections. The first one is a collection of Snoopys from the Charlie Brown cartoon Snoopy. How that came about was that I used to have a dog named Snoopy. (Named by my Brother) I first got one at Knotsberry Farm in Los Angeles and he became my classroom mascot. Children used to take him home in the weekends and on a Monday morning would tell us all about the adventures they had together. I am going to write a book about it!
ReplyDeleteMy second collection is VW beetle models because my first car was a white VW beetle and Trevor’s was a yellow one. My third collection is fridge magnets from all the places in the world I have visited-this replaced the dolls because they were taking up too much space! I wonder if everyone has a collection of some sort?

DeleteI did wash all my trainers so they were squeaky clean. I have heard that the New Balance trainers are very comfortable.
Lovely, I remember watching Snoopy on the TV when I was younger, such a great TV show. Are you Snoopies featuring in your window with all your teddies?
Come to think of it - I have key rings of my time travelling in the UAE, Asia and Australia.

How long have you been collecting them for?
Some of my favourtie footwear brands are Assics, Sketches and Croccs.
I do not like Nike that much as they seem uncomfartable.
When I sorting my drawers I counted 14 pairs of togs, I threw out 3 of them though. I thought I only had 7 but in fact now I have 11!
After I finish sorting/tidying I feel relieved, tidy and spacious. Do you feel any of these emotions after sorting/tidying something?

I remember in our Circle Time at school you saying that Assics is your preferred brand of shoes.
Wow, lots of togs - are these togs from your competitions at Surf Life Saving?
I definitely feel a sense of relief and a weight of my shoulders. When I am cleaning out I often see if things can be recycled and send them to the Op Shops so someone else can get use of these. Do you recycle old clothes?

ReplyDeleteI'm definitely going to be asking for your help when I can buy new tennis shoes again. I have my jogging ones but want a pair for just every day stylish / normal walks that go with everything! We'll have to go on a shopping day when we can get out of lockdown, aye!
My collection would be heels, even though I actually don't wear about 90% of them haha! OOPS!
