500! What does it mean? Walking along the river again tonight, I came across a large wooden post in the ground with the number 500 on it. What do you think it’s for?

ReplyDeleteI think it could be for rowing, canoeing, or for skis so that they either know how many metres they have done or a marker to say that they are near a certain place.
Have you seen it before, or is it new, because that could make the difference to estimate what it is used for?
